Prior to this project, TRUE had only experimented with limited customization, offering minor color tweaks or embroidered logos, but had never executed a fully branded, end-to-end custom shoe program. The existing sales process relied on an outdated "PowerPoint and PDF" model, which created friction and slowed down approvals. The primary challenge was to architect an interactive, scalable system that would allow any brand, such as First Tee or Harley-Davidson, to seamlessly visualize and order custom footwear that felt ready for retail.

The agency initiated the project by reverse-engineering TRUE’s customization potential and diving deep into the brand guides of their partners to analyze colors, fonts, textures, and tone. For the First Tee collaboration, the team crafted an understated color story that merged TRUE’s lifestyle aesthetic with the partner's community focus, adding subtle branding cues like a signature heel patch, tonal dot patterns, and a logo integrated beneath a translucent sole. Every footwear mockup was rendered with hyper-realistic detail across six different angles, ensuring that the stitching, materials, and logos were displayed exactly as they would appear on the physical shoe.

To solve for long-term scalability, AJNCI built CustomTrueLinkswear.com, a modular micro-site system that turns a one-off concept into a repeatable experience. Each collaborating brand receives a dedicated, mobile-responsive, one-page interactive microsite. These digital environments feature fully rendered 3D-style visuals, embedded feedback tools for real-time design adjustments, and secure, shareable links to facilitate seamless team collaboration and approvals.
The operational framework was modernized to remove friction from the buying process. The digital portals are equipped with transparent pricing, order timelines, materials information, and FAQs so clients can get started immediately. For example, the platform cleanly displays the First Tee shoe's standard retail price of $179 and the exclusive partner price of $85 for an initial 72-pair minimum order. Furthermore, the platform offers full analytics to integrate customer data into the larger company database, creating an infrastructure capable of onboarding new brand collaborations in hours rather than weeks.
